Breaking Benjamin is a rock band founded by American lead singer and guitarist Benjamin Burnley in 1999. According to Burnley, the band’s name is based on the musician’s reputation for breaking instruments and recording equipment during his early career days. The band saw its first breakthrough in 2001 when radio DJ Freddie Fabbri from WBSX aired “Polyamorous” from their EP. The track went on to be the most requested song for the station and led Fabbri to finance the band in releasing more copies of the EP. After selling 2,000 copies, Breaking Benjamin’s fan base was established, and the band signed to Hollywood Records the following year.
Breaking Benjamin’s first studio album, “Saturate” was released in 2002, reaching spot 136 on the Billboard 200 and certified Gold. The album became the band’s mainstream breakthrough. Breaking Benjamin released three more studio albums before going on a long break in 2010 due to Burnley’s health problems. The band returned in 2014 with a new lineup of members and released their fifth album, “Dark Before Dawn” in 2015. The album topped the album charts at No.1 within 1 hour of its pre-order sales.
Since 2002, Breaking Benjamin have released six studio albums and 23 singles, of which many received the Platinum certificate. Popular songs include “I Will Not Bow”, “The Diary Of Jane”, “Breath”, and “Angels Fall”. The band has rocked the world and shared the stage with rock icons such as Alice In Chains, Chevelle, Disturbed, and good friends Three Days Grace.
Three Days Grace is a rock band from Canada, previously known as the Groundswell, and regrouped under the current name in 1997. As Three Days Grace, the musicians put together a new demo and sent it to EMI Music Publishing Canada. The demo also consisted of their now trademark song “I Hate Everything About You”. It caused a mass interest in the band, leading to multiple record label signings for the new rock icons in the making.
Under the new labels, Three Days Grace debuted their first self-titled studio album in 2003, led by their hit single “I Hate Everything About You”. Their fan base skyrocketed, and the single became Three Days Grace’s first No.1 on the Canadian rock chart. In 2006, the band led the release of their second album One-X, with their iconic hit single "Animal I Have Become", inspired by Gontier’s struggles with addiction. The popularity of the song led to Three Days Grace winning the Rock Single of the Year at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards.
The band went on to release two more studio albums before Adam Gontier’s departure in departure in 2013 in pursuit of new projects. In the meantime, new lead vocalist Matt Walst took the role right up to 2024 when Three Days Grace announced the return of Gontier once again. The band has released seven studio albums so far and 27 singles, some of which are Platinum certified. Their other top hits are “Pain”, “Riot”, “Just Like You”, and they are currently signed to RCA Records.
Return To Dust is the Gen Z rock band from LA, ready to shake up the scene with next-generation fuzz-fueled riffs and grooves. They are the new sound to alternative rock and not to be missed.
